Detroit River Walleye Charters – 2026 Dates – March 27 to May 22
Walleye fishing on the Detroit River is like no other! The best fishing is between late March and early May, when the fish are coming up the river from Lake Erie. Charters run from the last weekend in March through the middle of May.

Charters will either meet at Rotary Park Boat Launch, 1 Riverside Drive, Trenton, MI, or at the Pilot House, 9645 Groh Road, Grosse Ile, Michigan. The captain will call you the day before your charter to confirm which meeting site.
Half Day – 5 hours
Half day charters are 5 hours from dock to dock. Morning or afternoon charters are available. Morning trips start at 6:30 a.m. Afternoon trips start at 2 p.m.
$550 per trip. Includes up to 4 people. Each additional person is $150. Maximum 6 people.
Full Day – 8 hours
You can also book for a full day charter. When you book a full day charter, we will fish for walleye first. If we reach limits on walleye, we will continue to fish catch and release, or may target other species such as Northern Pike to make a full fun day of fishing. This charter typically runs from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. but other time periods may be accommodated by request.
$750 per trip for up to 4 people. Each additional person is $150. Maximum 6 people.
Lake Michigan Salmon Charters – August 7 to September 7
Salmon fishing on Lake Michigan in late summer is not only a beautiful time on the water, but also some of the best time to catch fish! Charters run out of Pentwater from August 7 to September 7.
Call now for open dates and reserve your charter. Online booking will open in June. Charters depart from Charlie’s Marina, Pentwater, Michigan. Parking is available for free at the marina.
Half Day Charter – 5 hours
Half day charters are available for morning or afternoon trips. Morning trips start at 5:00 a.m. Afternoon trips start at 4:00 p.m. Longer trips can be accommodated for an additional fee.
$550 per trip. Includes up to 3 people. Each additional person is $150. Maximum 5 people.
Northern Michigan Walleye and Perch – October 1 to November 1
Come fish in the fall in beautiful Northern Michigan. The walleye and perch bite is very good this time of year. It is a great time of year to see fall color, catch fish and take a ride up North.

You will need to purchase valid fishing licenses for the dates of your charter. Detroit River charters will require both a Michigan and Ontario fishing license. The Detroit River encompasses both U.S. and Canadian waters, so a Canadian fishing license is required for the most optimal fishing experience. Ontario licenses are available to purchase as a single day license (approx. $25) or you can purchase an 8-day Ontario license (approx. $55) if you plan to fish more than one day. To keep full limits, you need to purchase the Sport Fishing License.
Lake Michigan salmon charters will only require a Michigan license for those 17 or older. Northern Michigan trips will only require a Michigan fishing license. Please call if you have any questions about purchasing licenses. The links to purchase online are below.
